As part of the installation process the CBS consultant will take a copy of all data on your servers to a USB hard disk. This data will then be transferred the i-Safe servers so that future backups will only require changes in data to be transferred over the internet.

In addition to the initial data load, i-Safe will save bandwidth and reduce backup windows by intelligently performing file level incremental backups.

i.e. if you have a large 500GB database and add records to it daily, then during the backup routine the i-Safe software will examine the difference between the updated file on your server and the most recent copy at our data centre and only upload the changes in the file.

This process drastically reduces the amount of data that is required to be transferred over the Internet

Security

With i-Safe data will be copied, compressed, 128-bit / 256-bit encrypted and finally uploaded to our remote server located offsite through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Data is encrypted using your specified encryption key, the key is never uploaded during backups and restored data can only be decrypted using the same key. This process makes the entire backup routine highly secure.
